This course will take you beyond first position playing and into the realm of barre chords and moveable scale patterns. You’ll expand your library of accompaniment techniques and begin to consciously develop your ear. There’s a lot to learn in this level, so don’t be in a hurry!

To complete your education in this level, use Package II. In addition to the topics in this course and in the Virtual Studio, Moving On teaches note reading in the first position. Although this is a good time in your development as a guitar player to move into that study, reading standard musical notation is beyond the scope of the lessons in the Studio. I realize that not everyone is open to note reading, but Moving On makes it easy to learn, and the benefits are indisputable!

In this level, you’re ready to learn the songs you choose, and it will be easy to find most of them in Internet TABs or on YouTube. Not all of the information you get online is correct, though, so use your ear to determine if there are flaws in the transcriptions or tutorials.
