Not only do I love Charlotte Adams’ books, but I also love the author! I’ve been taking private guitar lessons with Charlotte since Sept 2015 and with only a few hours of teaching I really increased my music knowledge altogether. Her books are nothing different than her teaching approach in the sense that she goes straight to the essential. Each word is chosen carefully to keep complex concepts simple and easy to read which makes the book small yet so rich!! As a beginner, I ended up highlighting every single passage 🙂
I have not finished reading this particular book. I own 4 of 5 books from Charlotte. Her approach is “learn a little, practice a lot”. That said, it helped me to relax and learn accurately before starting something new.
The experience that Charlotte has is priceless. In the books she wrote, there are over 40 years of music teaching where she is sharing the best!
